The recipes below are ones that I use frequently with my family. I have collected them from friends, family, cookbooks – anything that works well for us.
There are so many options for meals today that it can threaten to overwhelm you. Think about the meals you usually have. Most people rotate the same 14 meals over a month’s time. The 14 meals may change from season to season and year to year, but 14 seems to be the magic number.
If you want to cut down on time and prepartion, it’s helpful to have a list of 14 recipes you know you and your family will want to eat. If you keep the number of ingredients down and you keep them stocked, you can always find something to throw together every day.
The list below should help you start a list of meals or, at least, serve as example of how this method works for our family. I have added notes to the recipes for large families and singles, health needs and storage.
